Feeding the Homeless at Saint James Episcopal Church

BAT's Day of Service is 2 occasions during the year when we meet to cook and feed the homeless as part of the regular Sunday Jubilee service at the church. It is our way of giving back to the community as well as thanking this church for supporting our activities throughout the year.
ELAINE MASSIAH
We are the actual host team for the luncheon. We arrive on time and cook a meal which includes a meat, vegetable, and Carbohydrate. Desert and a beverage is also provided. The patrons enjoy a church service prior to gathering to eat.
Community Service
Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: help. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: work.
-William Arthur Ward
Being involved in the community has become an important objective of the Barbados Association of Greater Houston. We value community service, and social responsibility and encourage our members to play a vital role in promoting the organization through service.
